REGARDING the icy roads after the snow on February 3, those around St Peter's RC School, in Mill Hill, Blackburn, were dangerous to say the least, with cars sliding everywhere and many children and parents falling.
Full marks to the headmaster and caretaker who came out at 8.15am to treat the streets around the school, ensuring the safety of children and parents.
Why can't sand or grit bins be provided at schools? I'm sure many residents would not object to doing anything to help avoiding a bad accident if only these were available.
HARGREAVES (Mrs), Jessel Street, Mill Hill, Blackburn.
