DOG fouling and project work by Walverden School will be discussed at the meeting of the Friends of Walverden Park at 7.30pm, on Monday, at the United Reformed Church, in Brunswick Street, Nelson.
Fred Stewart, the council's parks outreach officer, said: "The meetings help to develop valuable ideas for the future and provide ways to improve the parks. We would encourage any local residents to come along either to listen to the group's ideas or make their own views known."
The friends group has already organised fun days and clean-up days to take care of the park.
It is just one of six friends groups established by the council during the last few years. The groups work with the council to help improve the parks and contribute valuable ideas for their future.
