IT'S a subject that many men have found difficult to get to grips with, but an award-winning comedian hopes his new show will help dispel a few myths.

Richard Herring, one half of comedy duo Lee and Herring, brings his one-man show to Burnley Mechanics next week after winning rave reviews at last year's Edinburgh Festival.

Richard said: "Though men may brag and exaggerate about their little chap, they rarely talk about their feelings for it."

The show is part fact, part myth and part research taken from Richard's own website.

"There is a lot of funny stuff posted on the website from ordinary people. The best way to describe the show is as a kind of comedy lecture.

"I've done a lot of the shows now and it has gone really well. I think some people can be a little bit shocked by it, but it is really a serious and sensitive subject."
