GLEN Little admits he is unlikely to have more than a cameo role against Fulham tomorrow but he is still hoping he can make an impact.
"Hopefully I can play some part in the match," he said before travelling down south with the squad today after training.
"I don't think I will necessarily start but provided I have come through training okay, then I can take a place on the bench.
"Then who knows what might happen. If it is level with about 20 minutes to go, maybe I can come on and become a hero."
Little has fond memories of the last time the two sides played each other, a league clash at Turf Moor as the Cottagers were on their way to the first division title.
"I seem to remember someone got a late winner that day," he smiled. "I think it might have been me."
Now he is just praying that he will be fit to play at least some part in Burnley's biggest FA Cup date for 20 years after a frustrating run of injuries.
The London born star is hoping that his club's remarkable run in the capital, unbeaten for eight matches, will continue at Loftus Road.
He has not started in any of the last four games and was not even available for the bench last weekend.
But he is determined that he will be part of the 16-man squad to take on Fulham. In the last round at Brentford he only played ten minutes, scoring one and creating another.
A repeat performance would be the perfect way to return to action.
