BURNLEY headed to Fulham today with manager Stan Ternent insisting: "The FA Cup is up for grabs."
Just seven Premiership sides started this weekend in the fifth round of the Cup and Ternent is certain his side can get rid of one of them - Jean Tigana's Fulham.
"It is over 90 minutes, we will be well prepared and if we can get a rub of the green and a bit of Lady Luck, well you never know," he said. "Believe me, we are capable of winning this game if we play to our potential.
"Mind you, we are capable of losing it as well."
With Manchester United paired with Arsenal, and both Leeds United and Chelsea facing tricky ties away from home, there is every prospect the Cup will be wide open when the draw is made for the last eight on Monday afternoon.
"Quite a few Premiership teams have played each other so it is very open. The big sides will be the favourites to progress and for some of them (like Fulham) this is a good chance to get in to Europe.
"But there is no pressure on us being in the fifth round, I would be under pressure if we got knocked out in the third."
Ternent is hoping his players will benefit from this week's trip to Portugal, and he said: "It was a very good break, especially after a big result for us at Coventry.
"The Cup games are special days and there is a real buzz about it. I have said before there is something special about it."
Once again the main selection concern is in midfield. Steve Davis, Paul Weller and Brad Maylett are all back in training but short of being available while both Lee Briscoe and Glen Little will be checked out after training today.
"Glen and Brizzer might have a chance but the others won't make it," said Ternent, who also admitted he has a big decision to make in goals with Marlon Beresford available again after Nik Michopoulos's superb display in keeping a clean sheet at Coventry.
But one man who is not likey to start is Arthur Gnohere, back from a week back home in France. He is unlikely to edge out either Drissa Diallo or Ian Cox, and Ternent admitted: "I'm not sure how he is as he speaks French when he walks near me."
It is the French foreign legion assembled by Jean Tigana that Ternent hopes to silence tomorrow. A place in the last eight beckons and as he himself acknowledged, who knows what may happen from there.
