MAY will see the introduction of full postal voting in Hyndburn's local elections. Next year, after a government-granted extension, Blackburn with Darwen will be subjected to a similar fiasco.
With there being no declaration of authenticity required of the supposed secret voter, should election fraud be both suspected and found to have occurred, will it be possible to prosecute anyone for the once-jailable offence?
A bar-code proves only one thing -- that the paperwork sent out is the same as returned.
Who has filled it in and returned it no longer seems to matter... so long as the Labour Party return more votes than anyone else!
Polling booths and personal attendance must be returned before we slip further down the slope to becoming a Third World country.
