A COMMUNITY group was "kwik" off the mark to extend its child facilities.
Sure Start Redvales has just renovated three units at the neighbourhood centre based at Kwik Save in Derby Street, Bury.
They have been turned into a playgroup room, stay and play/toy library, and a cafe promoting healthy eating.
The extra facilities have boosted the group's provision for the families of Redvales, and artist Shani Green painted the playgroup walls and adorned the centre entrance with a huge mural.
Sure Start's programme manager Sue Myers said: "This as a significant move forward for Sure Start Redvales."
Details about the group and opening times are available from Sure Start on 253 6186.
