I am moved to write the following after reading the article 'Don't get married because you feel you must' which appears on you're web site on Monday 10th February 2003.
I am deeply moved by reading this story and my deepest sympathy goes out to the person who wrote it.
I agree totally with comments made in the article. Women should not be treated this way and deserve the same respect as men.
In the Qu'ran it say's that all men and women are equal and should be treated the same. It's only our culture that says different.
I'm a 26 year old British muslim male who has lived in Britain all my life. I have many white friends as well as Asian and I've seen some of the results of what physical abuse can do. It's our primal instinct to use force and power to subdue little inconvieniences to us.
It's horrifying to think that in this day and age it still continues.
