Lancashire's Tenpin Bowling team are celebrated a first ever win over rivals Yorkshire in the Scott Banks Memorial Plate.
It was the first time in the competition five years of the competition that Lancashire won the Plate and so the Accrington Superbowl proved to be a happy hunting ground in their first ever win in the War of the Roses clash.
And a trio of East Lancashire based bowlers played their part in the victory which Lancashire ran out 541-515 winners.
Jeff Foster of Burnley, Andy Constantine of Nelson and young Nicola Fawley of Padiham were among the triumphant Lancashire team that swept to glory.
The Scott Banks Memorial is an annual competition played between the two counties in remembrance of the young Yorkshire bowler who tragically died in 1998.
The Memorial Plate is hosted alternatively between the two counties and a total of 96 county bowlers took part in age groups from under 14s to seniors.
The match was split in to Team Games, Doubles, Singles and Trios -- playing three matches in each section.
And after the final county standings, Lancashire won seven of the 12 matches leading 395-373.
Lancashire also came out on top in the Bonus Pins winning three of the four categories to clinch a long awaited victory.
In the Team event, Lancashire finished with a total of 40 compared to Yorkshire's 32.
Yorkshire won the Doubles 41-31 before Lancashire narrowly won the Singles 37-35 and followed up with a 38-35 win in the Trios.
