CHILDREN in Rossendale are to learn about "Big Healthy Bodies" as part of the government's Year of Science initiative.
The scheme is part of a series of "Big" education initiatives including the Big Read, the Big Sum, Big Eat and Big Science.
Each theme aims to teach children of primary school age about looking good, feeling fit and eating well which will help learn them to take care of their own bodies.
School children and others children's clubs such as brownies and cubs from throughout the valley will be given the chance to visit Asda in Rawtenstall during the half-term break.
A series of fun activities have been drawn-up to provide youngsters with an opportunity to apply skills in practical ways.
Anybody interested in the event should contact Yvette Jackson on 01706 229634.
