VISITORS to Howe Bridge Parish Church are invited to take a trip down memory lane.
Historian Richard Sivill has put together an exhibition of villagers' best recollections for the church's open and gift day this Saturday.
The display is the brainchild of the Howe Bridge author whose latest book features the church's stained glass windows. He invited past and present villagers to send him a paragraph on their most interesting memory of school, church, choir or the uniformed organisations and the result will be available for guests to see.
There's still time to contribute, call Richard on 01942 884836.
The venue this year is the church where both the church and school archives will be on display. There will also be mini-lectures in the chancel at 11.30am and 2.15pm.
The event will be open between 11am and 3pm and though there is no admission charge donations will be welcome.
