A BATTLING performance by Barnoldswick Barons in the North Valley under nines league helped them take three points with a 2-0 win over Foulridge Minors.
But it could easily have been a draw as both teams played attacking football.
Foulridge had the best chance but Barons' goalkeeper Jake Rhodes made a smart save to deny the advancing attacker.
And with the Foulridge keeper in top form also it looked like the game would end on level terms.
The first half ended 0-0 and the Barons continued to attack after the break and, with three minutes to go Ben Crabtree scored.
In the dying seconds, Jordan Weaver struck a low shot into the bottom corner.
Scott Wainwright was voted man of the match.
