We hear the alarm sounding at Heysham Power Station every Thursday morning and can only presume that they are testing it.
We have lived here for four years, and as yet we have not been informed as to how we should distinguish between a test and a real alert.
If there was a real alert what are we supposed to do? Shut our windows, jump in the car and speed out of the area or check our wills It would be nice if someone were to tell us?
Apparently we also have a 'no fly' zone which a hang glider strayed into last summer. What may I ask is the point of having this when there is no means of enforcing it?
The hang glider pilot was fined, does someone think a terrorist would be deterred from attacking from the air because he may be prosecuted for entering a 'no fly' zone?
I get the distinct impression that someone is 'playing at security'. Tell me if I am wrong.
