TONY Blair's bizarre 'council of war' logic decrees the sending of an invasion force to Iraq to dethrone Saddam Hussein while a cricket team is supposed to deal with the increasingly barbarous exploits of the Mugabe regime in Zimbabwe.
As the war clouds gather over Iraq, we in the so-called civilised world await the fallout from the inevitable thunder-flashes which will follow - bringing the rest of the Middle East into full realisation of the immensity of the USA/UK hurricane.
And Blair has already made it clear to the world that, after Iraq, North Korea must be subjugated to satisfy the territorial ambitions of the new self-styled saviour.
Together with his gung-ho mate from the USA, he honestly believes China, North Korea's mentor, will turn a blind eye to conflict in its back yard. This is why his military strategy is bordering on the insane - not to mention the economic debacle it would mean for our country.
Insanity is not such a callous or vindictive word to choose in reference to our Prime Minister's disregard of the mounting public rejection of his passion to declare war.
It is the public who will have to live, or survive, through the aftermath of the Bush and Blair folly at the end of the day. We, therefore, have a right to question where this is heading.
Demonstrations are building by the hour throughout the world against any conflict. Bush and Blair are the terrorists we should all beware of at this crucial moment in time.
They are the invaders, the oil purveyors extraordinary, but we are their masters because it is we who elected them and we who must demand respect and regard for our wishes and considered opinions.
