With the North West Stages and the Bay Stages on Saturday and Sunday respectively, it is going to be a busy weekend for local rally drivers.
John Stone, last year's winner of the Bay Stages rally, will be hoping for an uninterrupted run as he contests both events, while Trevor Smith with co-driver Anthony Desay will be using the Haverigg as a shake-down for the Malcolm Wilson event two weeks later.
Also back in harness will be Adrian Marrocco and Tracey Williams, back on the road in their completely rebuilt Ford Escort Cosworth sponsored by DK Warehouse of White Lund.
Morecambe's Andy Helm and David Baker, Neil and Katy Mashiter and Phil and Keith Taylor are also turning out to support the event.
Mike Dunning is having a change of scenery as he jumps behind the wheel of his Escort Mk II and 2002 Devil's Own Rally winners Tot and Maureen Dixon also have an entry.
This is the first of two events that Morecambe Car Club is hosting at the site this year and the first placed driver will receive a free entry into the second event in September, with the winners in Class Two receiving free entry into the Legend Stages to be held at Weeton also in September.
