Morecambe face another long trek south this weekend, keen to ensure that opponents Woking do not maintain their current 'win-lose' form.
The fellow Nationwide Conference side has had an incredible run of alternate wins and losses since November.
Last week Woking suffered a 4-2 thumping at Gravesend & Northfleet which means, on past form, they could be hoping to cruise to victory when they meet the Shrimps on Saturday (3pm).
But Morecambe, on 49 points and sixth in the table, are well ahead of Woking in the Conference.
The southerners are currently languishing in the bottom six with 35 points.
After Morecambe's spirited performance against Chester City at Christie Park, which ended in a 1-1 draw, hopes are high for the Woking game.
Morecambe boss Jim Harvey was full of praise for his players after an Adriano Rigoglioso goal in the final minute stopped the Shrimps going down to defeat.
Harvey later hailed his side's performance as "brilliant" and said the point would stand Morecambe in good stead for the 12 remaining matches.
However the match left a nasty taste in the mouth of Chester boss Mark Wright ,who accused Harvey of not shaking hands after the game.
"I am very disappointed for what happened," Wright said.
