THE Bank of England's decision to cut interest rates a quarter per cent to 3.75 per cent has been welcomed by a local business leader.
Bolton and Bury Chamber chief executive Mr Andrew Ratcliff said: "This decision will offer welcome relief to some of our manufacturing and engineering companies and may help service sector expansion to continue. Hope of any comprehensive manufacturing recovery, however, depends on a revival in overseas demand."
