BURNLEY may have their fair share of financial troubles but they are nothing compared to those suffered by Derby County.

Ever since their relegation from the Premiership last summer, the Rams have had the wolves at their door.

The crisis has forced them to sell a number of star names including Mart Poom, Chris Riggott, Malcolm Christie and Danny Higginbotham, the latter trio all leaving on the last day of the transfer window.

That leaves them with a squad full of promising youngsters players, experienced pros and a couple of the biggest names to have played in England in recent years.

But having Georgi Kinkladze and Fabrizio Ravanelli on the books can't be doing too much to help the club's ailing finances.

Kinkladze looks to be a certain starter tomorrow afternoon having impressed in a floating role between the strikers and the midfield.

But injury ravaged Ravanelli may have to settle for a place on the bench as youngster Izale McLeod has been playing up front with Lee Morris.

Ravanelli, known as the "White Feather", has raised the white flag at times this season, not having started a game since August 17. The frustration for the Derby boss John Gregory is that the Achilles' problem may have kept him out of the side but it has not kept him off the wage bill.

In defence young centre back Pablo Mills could come in for Warren Barton in the heart of the back four, with Barton, switching to right back.
