A GROUP set up to improve the lives of the older generation in Leigh, Tyldesley and Atherton is on the road again in a bid to attract new members.
Members of Wigan and Leigh Over 50s Forum have the chance to meet the area's champions of older people on Friday, February 28, between 1.30pm and 4.30pm, at Mornington High School, Hindley.
The forum will feature an inter-generation quiz and table-top discussions on issues and opportunities facing differing generations. Guests will judge the art and written work presented by local children on how they value older people.
The forum is appealing for more members. A spokesman said: "The older population is growing and needs to make the most of every opportunity to work with others in order to make a real difference."
