TELEVISION researchers were left with their knickers in a twist when they mistook a Radcliffe mum for a sex shop owner!
Suzanne Winfield (40) received a letter from the Granada morning talk showTrisha inviting her to tell all about her saucy adult goods empire.
The problem was that Suzanne works for a car company and the only leatherwear she comes into contact with is plush upholstery.
Suzanne, who lives in Sunningdale Avenue, said: "They mistook me for another Suzanne Winfield."
The other Suzanne owns sex shops in Bury and Rochdale and has recently opened a huge store in Oldham. It's not the first time Suzanne has been mistaken for her namesake. "Ever since an article appeared in one of the papers about her last year, people have assumed I'm her. I found myself in the ludicrous situation of trying to justify myself to the woman in the newsagents."
She added: "What makes it worse is that my sister-in-law has done Page 3 modelling so once people find that out they are totally convinced I'm in the adult goods business."
Suzanne says the joke is now wearing a bit thin and was quite distressed when she got the invite for the TV show.
"The researcher said he'd traced two Suzanne Winfields so wrote to both of us. He didn't apologise, he just offered me some tickets to sit in the audience!
