DARWEN face a potential banana skin when they host Oldham Town in NWCL Division Two tomorrow.

Steve Wilkes's side should beat the whipping boys of the league but the gaffer knows his side don't always play to the script.

"We should beat them but we always struggle against the bottom sides and then beat the top ones.

"We went there earlier in the season and won 2-1 but the winner was an own goal and we made hard work of it.

"People will expect us to win but football isn't like that but at least I have a full squad to choose from apart from Dennis Hill and Andy Walsh, who are suspended.

"They had a good result against Great Harwood a few weeks ago when they beat them on penalties in the cup.

"We are playing quite well though, although one or two results have gone against us. It was a bad result when Padiham got beat off Maine Road because now Maine Road are four points ahead. We'll just go on now and try to win every game we can."
