TIME will tell if Bacup have benefited from their 11-day break, according to manager Brent Peters.
The NWC Division Two promotion chasers haven't played since their home defeat against Padiham on February 11.
Bacup, who entertain Leek CSOB this afternoon, played a hastily arrranged friendly against Rossendale last night, to give those who haven't featured recently, such as Damian Moran, Nicky Taylor and Carl Rozia a run out.
And Peters hopes the break will have given those he believes have been underachieving enough time to find their form.
"I gave them some hard facts this week after the Padiham defeat," he said. "Some people might think that's harsh after an eight-game winning run, but there are certain players who are underachieving.
"They need to improve for the final run-in and we want those who have match the standards I expect of them to do more - if that's not being too greedy!"
Peters added their promotion hopes were in their own hands after Padiham lost to Maine Road last week.
