GRAEME Souness hailed David Dunn as one of his star performers on his comeback from injury, even though he revealed the midfielder isn't speaking to him following allegations he wasn't fully focused on his game.
"We've had a fall-out and he isn't speaking to me, but I can live with that," Souness said.
"That position (right midfield) is a hard position, it's not his favourite, but he put a stint in there and he's got us the second goal which obviously won us the game in the end.
"Technically Dunny's very, very good - but he's still learning the game.
"It's only to be expected that he ran out of steam in the end. Some people need half a dozen games, some need five, some need 10 - some never get there!
"But he'll need a few more games before he's fully up to speed, and I hope he has a point to prove in every game he plays."
He added that Dwight Yorke had been left out at the start after sustaining a foot injury two weeks ago.
