BACUP look well-placed to win promotion from the NWCL Second Division after a home win against Leek.
Martin Peters opened the scoring on 22 minutes with a superb strike into the top left hand corner giving the keeper no chance.
Eight minutes later it was two when Damian Moran swung the ball in from a corner and it was deflected into the net.
Then on 34 minutes Lee Anderson won the ball before playing in David Gray.
Stuart Telfer made a blindside run and Gray played a perfect ball into the space for Telfer to finish.
The fourth goal came following a Moran corner that Stott played to Bartholomew and his clever back heel set up Gray to score.
Bacup began the second half as they has finished the first.
Peters wasted a chance when a square ball to Telfer would have resulted in the fifth goal.
On 78 minutes Leek pulled a goal back and two minutes later Leek got another.
On 82 minutes Bacup's Duncan Edwards played a bad ball putting his captain Ian McLellan in trouble at the back.
McLellan committed a professional foul, which resulted in a red card and Bacup had to see the final 10 minutes out with 10 men.
This gave the visitors more of an incentive to push forward and in the closing minutes they almost got another goal but for two goal line clearances from Nicky Taylor.
Manager Brent Peters said: "From a game we were well in control of, three indisciplined situations almost turned the game on its head.
"For their first goal Lee Kershaw was not doing what he had been instructed to do and their second the same player set them up, which is why I substituted a substitute, then Duncan Edwards over-played at the back and dropped his captain right in it."
