POLICE are appealing for information after a weekend town centre attack.
The victim, not named by police, is now in a stable condition after the attack which left him with a serious head injury. Police said the man was hit on the back of the head while walking in the Bull Street and Manchester Road area of Burnley at 1am on Sunday.
He had been drinking with friends in the Sidewalk 53 bar, Croft Street, and Bootleggers Bar, Boot Way, on Saturday evening.
A police spokesman said: "There were concerns for this man's life as it was quite a serious incident."
