SHAKERS wonderkid David Nugent is set to sign a new contract this morning writes PHIL THORP.
The highly rated young striker will put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal that will keep him at Gigg Lane until the summer of 2005.
It's a real weight off the mind of Bury boss Andy Preece who has now secured the futures of four of the club's most promising youngsters with Simon Whaley, Steve Gunby and Tom Kennedy also signing 18-month deals.
"It's absolutely brilliant news for everyone at the club," said Preece.
"These lads are the future of Bury FC and I'm specially delighted for David who can now concentrate on his first team football."
