A WOULD-be hard drugs dealer is in custody awaiting sentence after a three-day trial at Burnley Crown Court.
Mark Haywood, 37, was found guilty of possessing heroin with intent to supply.
The defendant, of Burnley Road, Colne, had denied the allegation. He was remanded in custody until March 31 for a pre-sentence report.
The jury heard that when police searched the defendant's home they found drugs, £270 cash, cellophane and weighing scales. Haywood accepted the heroin was his but said he did not plan to deal in it.
A month before the search, Haywood was stopped in a car and was found to have £1,000 cash on him. He said the money was from an inheritance and he planned to spend it on a holiday.
