ALMOST 10,000 tickets have been sold for tomorrow night's FA Cup replay against Fulham at Turf Moor and the Clarets are hoping that they will better the gate from the original tie.
The gate at Loftus Road nine days ago was 13,062 but, with Burnley fans allowed to pay cash on the gate on all sides of the ground, it is hoped that figure will be passed despite the game being shown live on Sky television.
Ticket office manager Graham Raven explained: "All the home stands will be open to pay on the gate and it is double stubs so juveniles can get in as well.
"For Cup replays we always rely on a good number of walk-ons but we are hoping it will be a good gate."
Almost 3000 Burnley fans went to the away game but it is not expected that any more than 500 Fulham fans will travel north tomorrow.
Burnley fans know that they have another away draw at Watford ahead of them in the quarter-finals if they can beat Fulham, having already travelled to Grimsby Town and Brentford earlier in the competition.
The only FA Cup action that Turf Moor has seen this season was the replay against Grimsby Town that attracted just over 5000 fans.
It is already guaranteed to be a bigger gate tomorrow but the fans that do turn up will be more than happy if they are to see a similar result.
A 4-0 home win will do nicely for the vast majority at Turf Moor tomorrow.
