ROVERS outcast John Curtis today vowed to put himself in the shop window after securing a temporary move to Sheffield United.
Curtis has agreed to join the Blades on a three-month loan following talks with manager Neil Warnock yesterday.
And now the 24-year-old defender hopes to use his time at Bramhall Lane to earn himself a permanent move away from Ewood in the summer.
"Everybody knows that I'm desperate for first-team football and that I've been extremely unhappy at being frozen out at Blackburn, so this temporary move suits me fine," said Curtis.
"I did speak to Trevor Francis at Crystal Palace about going down to London until the end of the season, but at the last minute my agent was informed that Sheffield United also wanted to take me.
"It was a difficult decision because both clubs are excellent but Sheffield United suits me better because I can commute there from my home in Lancashire.
"Unfortunately I didn't sign in time to play in Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final at home to Leeds, which is a shame because I wasn't cup-tied.
"To be honest, I'm just really looking forward to playing regularly again.
"Being stuck in the reserves at Blackburn has been a nightmare, but at least now I have the chance to show people what I'm capable of."
Curtis goes straight into United's squad for their game against Grimsby tonight and he would be free to play in the Play-Offs if the Blades were to make it.
