BURY bid to banish their Gigg Lane blues for good as they entertain Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night writes Chris Hall
Shakers are in buoyant mood after their 2-1 win over third-placed Bournemouth on Saturday but have made something of a habit of dropping points to lowly opposition in front of their home fans this season.
Now manager Andy Preece reckons it is high time that hoodoo was brought to an end and is urging his charges to make Gigg Lane a fortress in the promotion run-in.
"If we don't go out with the right attitude tonight we'll end up with our tails between our legs," he declared.
"I expect it to be as tough, if not tougher, than Saturday's game.
"All the teams at the bottom of the table are fighting for league survival and every point they pick up gives them a better chance."
Danny Swailes will return from suspension for Tuesday's match.
