AN Oswaldtwistle school's state-of-the-art science and technology block has been unveiled.
Rhyddings High School's new £1.3million technology block was opened by former pupil and county councillor Dorothy Westell.
More than 60 guests attended the opening, including Hyndburn Mayor Coun Sandra Hayes and cabinet member for education and young people County Coun Alan Whittaker.
The centre has six rooms and a canteen and replaces the old 1920s-style grammar school annexe in Union Road. The centre boasts high-tech facilities and will see an end to the teaching of pupils at two sites by consolidating at the Haworth Street campus.
