A while ago I split up with my partner. We had been together for over a year, but I left him because everything he did seemed so boring and dull. He was a nice enough person but the spark just went. And I thought to myself I could do a lot better.

He once said his 'family would always come first' and that just put me off him. I met members of his family once and they seemed a bit strange.

We didn't see anything of each other for about six months but then I bumped into him at an event and found out he was getting married. It also seemed that he had changed his look and managed to find himself a really good job. He also had a new set of friends who seemd to think the world of him..

It made me think and I just regret everything so much now and want to know whether he will take me back?

MASSI SAYS,

I am always one for saying that you should never throw away a good thing.

You were with this person for over a year but you didn't think he was exciting enough for you? That's all very well but maybe if you had taken the initiative and worked on your relationship back then every thing would be different now.

It seems the split has worked out better for him. I think if this person is getting married and is happy with his soon to be life partner you should leave things as they are. By getting involved with him now you would just be getting yourself into a big mess.

You blew your chance and it could be that you were just jealous of seeing him doing better than you.

However, if you think he isn't happy and still holds strong feelings towards you should consider telling him that. But be prepared for a negative answer.
