MEN between the ages of 60 and 64 in Radcliffe are being urged not to miss the bus!
For they can now apply for their senior citizen's pass which come into operation on April 1.
Following the introduction of legislation requiring local authorities to lower the age to 60 at which men become eligible for a travel concession, Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) has been running a campaign highlighting the change.
Councillor Roger Jones, chairman of Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority, which administers the concessionary fares scheme, said: "We already operate a very generous concessionary fares scheme and we are pleased to be able open up the opportunity for cheaper travel by public transport to a whole new section of the population."
Application forms and more information are available from Travelshops or call in at Whittaker Street, Radcliffe (cash office), telephone 253 7015.
