CARDIFF City boss Lennie Lawrence today admitted he tried to sign Burnley star Glen Little.
Lawrence recently contacted the Clarets about the possibility of taking Little to Ninian Park on loan.
But Burnley boss Stan Ternent was quick to put a block on the move by insisting Little is going nowhere.
However, Lawrence remains a big admirer of the player and he may decide to come back in with a cash offer in the summer if the ambitious Bluebirds were to gain promotion to the First Division.
Fulham's midfielder Sean Davis has failed to get the red card he received against Burnley overturned.
Davis was sent off for a tackle on Tony Grant two minutes into the second half of Fulham's 3-0 defeat by the Clarets in the FA Cup fifth round replay last week.
An FA spokesman said: "We received an appeal from the club (Fulham) and sent the video to the Video Advisory Panel.
"The appeal has failed and the player will now serve a three match suspension, starting on March 12."
