REGARDING the Campaign for Broadband Internet access in Colne (LET, February 11).
It is all well and good for Roger Edworthy to write to businesses in Colne promoting broadband, but there is much more to any successful broadband campaign than that.
Please don't ignore the non-business community in all of this -- there is a large population with telephone lines connected to Colne exchange, not just businesses.
Where is the campaign support website for example? Where are the leaflets? Is Mr Edworthy aware that BT will supply leaflets? I would direct him and anyone else in Colne interested in Broadband access for the town, to the following website addresses as a starting point:
http://broadbanddereham.info/faq/, http://www.adslguide.org.uk/ and http://www.vote4broadband.co.uk/
So, come on, Colne -- let's get our act together and get to that target of 400 registrations of interest that BT requires. Let's get Colne the Broadband access it deserves!
RAY WOODWARD, Keats Close, Colne.
