SUNDAY'S match at Watford is the type of game you dream of as a little boy watching big cup finals on the telly.
As far as I am concerned it is the biggest match in my time at Burnley, and as players we are now living the dream.
I know that winning at Plymouth on the last day of the season was more important because it stopped us going to the third division. Who knows if we would ever have got back?
I know that winning at Scunthorpe to get promotion to the first division was massive because it has given us a platform to build on.
But in terms of pure glamour and romance and and glory and prestige, an FA Cup quarter-final has to take the prize. We know we are good enough to beat Watford and that would set us up for a semi-final and what a prospect that would be.
I remember watching those Cup Finals on TV when I was a kid and thinking: "Wow, wouldn't it be great to play in one of those."
In recent years all players have watched teams like Chesterfield and Wycombe get a crack at glory in the semi-finals and probably thought that if they can do it, so can we.
Now, as a club and as a team, we have finally got our chance. We can try to grab our bit of glory.
The good thing is that we have a lot of experience in the side, we have a lot of players who have played a lot of games. I think Granty is about the youngest.
There is always the chance there will be some nerves about but I don't think that players like Bezzer, Coxy and Westy will be affected.
We have earned our chance at Watford by getting past Fulham but we know that Watford will also be fancying their chances. After all they have got a home draw against a fellow Nationwide side and they must be looking forward to it - but so are we!
We lost 2-1 down there earlier in the season when Macca was sent off but we were unlucky on the day. Apart from that we have a good record having done the double last season.
We know the fans will give us all the backing we could want at Vicarage Road and all the players are determined to make you all proud of us.
Getting into the semis could really shape our season, not just in the Cup but in the League as well. We want to keep our momentum going.
Let's try and keep this dream alive.
Boys at the back are brilliant
WE were all a bit disappointed that we could not keep our winning run going at Millwall in midweek as we thought we had done enough to nick it.
We had got the lead and the way the defence has been playing we hoped that we could hang on to it.
The two gazelles at the back, Drissa and Coxy (pictured), have been brilliant and the whole of the side has looked solid.
It was not the best of games, the pitch was poor, and we could not quite see it out.
I don't think it is surprise there were a few tired legs out there, it has been a busy time. But you don't have to worry about anyone having any tired legs on Sunday.
We are all having a nice rest today and will be back in training tomorrow ready to get it right at Watford.
West hits one of best
JUST a quick mention for Dean West and his wonder goal last weekend, which prompted the celebration pictured above.
We all know he can strike a ball and it was a surprise he had never scored before this season. Now he has two contenders for the goal of the season and the goals against Stoke and Reading will be hard to beat.
Perhaps I will have to go on a run past four or five players before putting the ball in the top corner. Sunday would be a great time to get one like that, if I play.
