THE owner of a Colne engineering firm today assured customers it was "business as usual" despite a fire in the converted mill yesterday.
Firefighters were called to the building in Greenfield Road at 6.28am and three workers were evacuated.
But Max Parker, of RM Parker Precision Engineering, Greenfield Road, said the fire had not affected work at his firm which uses one of ten units in the mill.
He said: "The fire was in a corridor at the back of the building. There was tape across the end of the corridor and it was a bit smokey yesterday but everyone is still working as normal.
"I have had a few customers ringing up to see what was going to happen so it is just a case of reassuring them that nothing has changed."
