THE Atherton Charity Cup is to take place again this season and it is hoped to have at least 16 teams taking part.
No doubt Leigh Athletic will be looking to retain the trophy after beating Breightmet United in last season's final.
The Charity Cup is all about raising money, last season's event we raised £900, the majority being distributed to local causes.
The entry fee is £25 and any team interested in taking part should in the first instance contact Gerald Butler on 01942 882828 or 01942 870326 for further information.
