FIVE people were arrested and a quantity of drugs, believed to be heroin, ecstasy and cannabis as well as methadone, were seized during dawn raids across Rossendale.
Warrants were executed by police at five addresses in Bacup and Stacksteads yesterday as part of Lancashire Constabulary's Safer Streets Initiative which aims to tackle drug users and dealers in the county.
Police were today continuing to question three males and two females about the drugs.
Inspector Chris Bithell, who co-ordinated the operation said: "I would warn anybody dealing drugs to be aware that we are clamping down on the crime.
"People should be aware that it could be their door that we come to next."
