TWO thugs threatened to stab their victim unless he handed over cash.
The street robbery happened at noon on Friday (Feb 28) in Spring Street, Bury, and police are now appealing for help in tracing the armed duo.
The 26-year-old male victim was walking along the street when he was asked by one of the two men for a cigarette. When he said he didn't have one, the raiders produced a small knife and forced him to hand over £80. The offenders ran off.
Both robbers are described as white, about 5ft 10ins, and aged in their late 20s. One of the men had long mousey hair.
Detectives at Bury CID can be contacted on 856 8150 if anyone witnessed the robbery and can help identify the offenders.
