STUDENTS won't have to travel abroad to fill up their Passport to Learning.
The service for adult learners, based at Bury College's learning resource centre, has been extended to provide a more comprehensive service.
The resources of the John Rylands Manchester University Library have been brought on board to enhance the facilities available.
Partners in the Passport scheme have included Bury College, Holy Cross sixth form college, Bolton & Bury Information Advice and Guidance, along with various Bury Council departments including Bury Art Gallery and Museum, the lifelong learning service, and local libraries.
Councillor Steve Perkins, executive member for lifelong learning, said: "The scheme aims to empower adult learners by providing access to learning and ICT resources that previously may have been unavailable to them.
"The addition of the John Rylands Library to the partnership provides a whole new dimension and gives participants the opportunity to take advantage of even more expert advice and support."
