KEEN swimmers can sign up for the Butlin's charity Swimathon at Padiham Leisure Centre later this month.
The event, between March 17 and 23, is part of a national fundraiser which expects to see 40,000 people raise £2million for Macmilllan Cancer Relief and Swimathon Foundation.
Swimmers can sign up for one of seven challenges which include the 5,000metre Swimathon or 2,500 half Swimathon, the 1,500metres fun Swimathon or team event where six people complete.
There is also a fun Swimathon for people who cannot attend the special sessions as well as an endurance event of a 10,000metre swim.
Councillor Barry Guttridge, executive member for leisure at Burnley Borough Council, said: Our sessions are filling up quickly, so anyone who hasn't already entered and wants to take part needs to fill in an entry form without delay to avoid disappointment."
To sign up go online to www.swimathon.org or phone hotline number 0845 3670036.
The closing date for email entries is March 11 or 14 for online.
