YOUNG Clarets defender Earl Davis has joined Conference side Southport on a one month loan.
The 19-year-old did enjoy a successful spell on loan with Stalybridge Celtic earlier this season but was recalled to Turf Moor in January following an injury crisis in the squad.
Southport, managed by former Bury boss Mike Walsh, play at a higher standard than Stalybridge and Clarets boss Stan Ternent sees it as a good opportunity for Davis to get more experience under his belt.
Former Claret Mark Winstanley is also in the Sandgrounders' squad.
