IF you fancy your chances as pop's next big thing, then take a trip to Jumpin' Jak's in Blackburn.
The venue, in St Peter Street, is running a This Is Your Moment a competition for wannabe singers who could eventually pit their vocal talents against the best in the country.
The event took place last year across the Jumpin' Jaks chain and the national winner, Chris Manning, went on to become one of the 12 finalists on the BBC's Fame Academy.
A singer from Blackburn now has the chance to emulate Manning as the Jaks venue, which opened last May, has been included in this year's competition.
Manning won the UK final in Coventry in May before spending a fortnight in the Fame Academy house. He has since appeared on the number one album from the show and will tour with the other students this summer.
He said: "This Is Your Moment was a great springboard for me.
"It was a superb competition -- really well organised and with the offer of a great prize at the end."
Four heats and a branch final will take place at Jumpin' Jaks at the beginning of April, with the overall winner going forward to a regional final and a chance to take part in the national final.
The Blackburn heats began last night and will be held every Thursday until March 27, with the local final on Thursday, April 3.
Entry is free of charge and anyone who is over 18 can take part. Anyone interested should collect an entry form from Jumpin' Jaks or apply on-line at www.jumpinjaks.com
