BOLTON started like the home team putting Preston women's team under a lot of pressure but as the half progressed PNE slowly got into the game.
And, with the dulcet tones of their manager ringing in their ears, Preston took the lead against the run of play when Toni Holderness lobbed the ball over Bolton's last defender for Danielle Boyle to run on to and hammer home from 15 yards.
Preston came out much more pos61itive after the break and the second goal came when Roseanna Jackson hit a speculative shot from midfield and the ball rolled over the line after the keeper took her eye off the ball.
Up front Vicky Whittam was making her league debut and was unlucky when she went on a good run down the left only to be stopped by a good tackle from a Bolton defender.
The third goal was scored by Charlotte Bolan, who smashed the ball in after Nicola Rawlinson's shot had been blocked by a defender.
Preston's fourth goal came when Danielle Moran went forward and squared the ball to Charlotte Bolan who hit her shot early and caught out the Bolton keeper.
This was not the best display the girls have shown this season, but at least in the second half they competed a lot better and were rewarded with three goals.
Final score:
PNE Whites 4
Bolton Girls FC 0
