AN 'angel' is seeking more sponsors to back her marathon bid and raise money for newborn babies in Queen's Park Hospital, Blackburn.
Beryl Thomas of Hesketh Close, Darwen runs in angel wings across the town and plans to run the London Marathon.
Beryl, 51, said: "I've been running for only a year but I've absolutely loved it. It gives me a real buzz."
Twenty-one years ago, Beryl gave birth to twins, Katie and Kelly, who were kept in the hospital's neo-natal unit for two months.
She said: "They were ten weeks premature and they needed all sorts of help from doctors and nurses and I'm so grateful for what they did.
"By running for them I hope to raise enough to help other babies who are in their situation."
