POLICE were investigating a serious road collision in Padiham today.
A silver Renault Clio driven by Georgina Whalley, 21, of Ford Street, Barrowford, was involved in a collision with a lorry on the Padiham bypass at the St Anne's Way junction in Fence.
Miss Whalley was taken to Burnley General Hospital. Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The driver of the lorry, who has not been named, was uninjured but said to be suffering from shock.
The bypass was closed for over an hour as emergency services cleared the scene.
Witnesses to the accident gave statements to the police.
