A CHIP shop has proved its commitment to hygiene is not just a flash-in-the-pan by winning the borough's top hygiene awards for the fourth year running.
Lee's Cantonese Kitchen in Sudell Road, Darwen, has been given the Golden Platter Award, presented by Blackburn with Darwen Council for health and hygiene standards in any catering environment.
Mrs Angela Lee who runs the busy chippy with her husband Paul said: "We were delighted not only to get the award for the fourth year running, but also because we are the only Cantonese chip shop to win one. Winning the award for the fourth year running shows that we are maintaining our standards."
The Lees have run their business for the last three years.
