I THOUGHT your comment (LET, March 4) regarding Mrs Christine Wilkin-Wyke's complaint at the way she was addressed when recently attending the Accident and Emergency department at Blackburn Infirmary was pathetic.
In my view, she had every reason to complain, and I admire her for so doing, although her action in complaining directly to the NHS Trust would not have my support.
I agree that busy health care managers should not have to be diverted from more serious matters, but one is left to wonder what came out of the consultation exercise which was called after a similar incident only eight months ago.
Come on, everyone knows that Lancashire is the place where folk are sociable and outgoing, but this fact should not preclude us from showing courtesy and respect to every individual.
