I CANNOT believe that Mrs Christine Wilkin-Wyke complained about the way she was addressed by a sister at Blackburn Infirmary (LET, March 4).
My father recently had a brain haemorrhage and was admitted there and I think the informality and friendly nature of all the staff helped calm and ease what was a very stressful situation.
I believe that had nursing staff been more formal it would have increased tensions further.
